The foundation is working day and night to spread awareness of Cervical Cancer among ladies through webinars, Zoom meetings to save their lives through PAP Smear test to avoid cervical cancer.

Dr Alka Jain said 1/3 such cases of cervical cancer in the world are found in India which is very alarming situation.  This fatal disease, the cervical cancer which is second most common after breast cancer.

She said cervical cancer can be cured if detected early. It is also known as cervix cancer or cancer of uterine cervix . It is caused due to uncontrolled growth of cells at the uterus mouth. In the initial stage it can not be detected through symptoms.

Around 51 crore young  girls are in danger, specially above 15 yrs of age.
She said every year around one lakh 23 thousands and nine hundred and seven ladies become Cervical cancer victims. Every year, 77,348 women die from cervical cancer in India. Cervical cancer accounts for 29% of all cancer cases in women!

There were more than 30 ladies of age group 30-68 who registered themselves for the PAP Smear test and they came to camp for the test.

The test was performed under her guidance by expert the lady technicians.
Ladies were happy with this preventive measures to save their lives from this fatal disease!
They were served also with high tea!
The core team members Rekha Kumar and Sadhna Kohli have also motivated ladies to take part in this camp.
Over all it was a great success and they promised to bring more ladies in the next camp.
